Officials did not release information about the cause of the fire at the Seattle Housing Authority's apartments in Greenwood.
One woman was taken to the hospital and six people were displaced Wednesday morning in a fire in Greenwood, according to the Seattle Fire Department and the American Red Cross.
Officials did not release immediate information about the cause of the fire. Crews were dispatched about 1:20 a.m. to the Seattle Housing Authority’s 81-unit complex Lictonwood, at 9009 Greenwood Ave. N. The department tweeted photos from the scene showing a large response and an image of the southwest corner of the building.
A woman was taken by ambulance to Northwest Hospital & Medical Center for “basic life support,” according to the Fire Department. Her condition was not immediately known.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance for people displaced by the fire.
