Snow is in the forecast again Sunday and Monday morning for parts of Snohomish County and northern King County, but not in Seattle and most of King County, according to the National Weather Service.
In a forecast released about noon, the service said that western Whatcom County could get 1 to 2 inches of snow, and snow is possible above 500 feet in Snohomish County and along King County’s northern border. Heavy snow also is expected in the Cascades, with snow showers expected to taper off Monday.
Seattle, in contrast, is expected to get rain. Snow may be mixed with rain showers, but there will be no accumulation.
Still, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced that, due to the chance of snow, it will reverse the express lanes on Interstate 5 and Interstate 90 earlier than usual, and will keep them open all night.
