Right on schedule, here’s Seattle’s real summer.
Wednesday was a sunny and warm day with a high temperature of 82 degrees near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, said Justin Pullin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Seattle.
The heat will return Thursday, with temperatures in the upper-70s to low-80s across the area, Pullin said. But a weak frontal system will push in Friday, bringing a round of clouds and a chance of showers, he said.
On Friday night, the skies will clear, said NWS meteorologist Kirby Cook.
“It looks like a warm and dry weekend with a warming trend,” Cook said.
High temperatures again will be in the mid-to-upper 70s or low 80s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week, he said.
So far this week, the highs recorded at the airport have been a bit above normal at 83 degrees on Monday and 85 on Tuesday, Pullin said.
“July is our warmest month,” Cook said.
