Western Washington was socked in under low-level clouds Friday with precipitation drying out by the afternoon. The region will remain dry through at least Saturday, although clouds are expected to increase over the last weekend of September.
Daytime highs through the weekend will remain mild, hanging out in the lower to mid-60s for most spots, the National Weather Service said. The possibility of rain returns Sunday, when areas north of I-90 will have the best chance of showers during the day before drying out at night.
High pressure over the eastern Pacific will start next week off dry before a chance of rain comes knocking Tuesday. On Monday, expect clear skies and abundant sunshine. Highs will likely remain in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s. Get ready for some foliage, Seattle.
