Seattle homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who police say was found lifeless at a bus stop on University Way early Monday morning.
The man, whose body was found in the 4500 block of University Way Northeast around 4 a.m., appeared to have been assaulted, police said in the Seattle Police Department Blotter.
Police said detectives believe the victim had been at the same bus stop during “a physical fight with several other males hours earlier” and are looking into whether there is a connection between the earlier fight and the man’s death.
Roads in the area were closed from 5 a.m. to about 8:45 a.m., according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
