Highway 12 reopened at White Pass about 9 a.m. Friday after closing Thursday due to winds, blowing snow and fallen trees, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The department posted on X about the closure at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, saying high winds and debris on the roadway were to blame.
Crews worked through the night and early morning hours clearing over a dozen fallen trees, the department said Friday morning.
With freezing temperatures expected throughout the weekend, the department is urging caution.
