The footage reveals the partially constructed Highway 99 tunnel and the innards of Bertha’s massive cutting head.
You can almost hear the roar of an X-Wing starfighter.
The Washington Department of Transportation posted drone footage from inside the new Highway 99 tunnel, showing the partially constructed roadway and the innards of Bertha‘s giant cutting head.
The drone begins at the opening near the Alaskan Way Viaduct and zips through the lower and then upper decks of the tunnel during a worker shift change, according to the video description.
The video ends at the heart of the Death Star — er, Bertha, that is.
May the Fourth be with you, Seattle.
