The Suquamish, a new Olympic-class 144-car ferry, is pulled out of dry dock Friday at Vigor’s Harbor Island Shipyard in Seattle. The vessel was towed to a pier nearby where it will be outfitted with things such as the propulsion systems, the passenger cabin and plumbing. Construction of the vessel began in January 2016, and is 70 percent complete. The ferry cost $122 million. It will enter service as a maintenance relief vehicle in the fall of 2018 and will be on the Mukilteo to Clinton route starting in the summer of 2019.
