A multi-car crash blocked southbound lanes of I-5 Friday morning and is likely to cause long delays, emergency officials said.
A multi-car crash on Interstate 5 South blocked all lanes of travel on the highway through south Seattle Friday morning, emergency officials said.
The crash, near the Spokane Street viaduct, was expected to cause long delays, the Washington State Patrol said.
All lanes of traffic were reopened about noon, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The Seattle Fire Department and Washington State Department of Transportation incident response teams were also on the scene. The fire department said in a tweet that three people were hurt and two were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
