Mercer Street and Fairview Avenue North in Seattle has fully reopened after a car fire Monday evening briefly blocked several lanes near the ramp onto Interstate 5, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

All northbound lanes and three westbound and eastbound lanes were blocked due to the fire, which began shortly after 6 p.m.

Lanes were also blocked at Fairview Avenue North and Republican Street due to emergency responder activity.

SDOT said all roads were clear shortly after 7 p.m.

The Washington Department of Transportation said the northbound and southbound I-5 offramps to Mercer Street was partially blocked due to a collision.
