From the south portal of Sound Transit’s new Capitol Hill light-rail station, passengers will descend 65 feet underground to board trains. The station, at Broadway and John Street in Seattle, is part of the 3.2-mile University Link project that will connect downtown’s Westlake Station with Capitol Hill and Husky Stadium at the University of Washington when it opens early next year. The project is ahead of schedule and approximately $150 million under budget.
