The Washington State Patrol has arrested a 38-year-old Everett man accused of threatening to kill Gov. Chris Gregoire.

Trooper Mark Francis said Eric W. Moody was arrested Friday. The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of threats to the governor. The trooper says the threats were sent via the governor’s web page.

Moody was also booked for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

Francis said late Friday he had no details on the nature or number of the threats or when they began. He says the governor has been advised of the arrest.

It was not immediately clear when Moody might make an initial court appearance.
