Members of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra are on strike.

The strike forced the cancellation Saturday of the SuperPops performance at The Fox theater as dozens of musicians picketed.

Representative Adam Wallstein told The Spokesman-Review (http://is.gd/IulJe5) musicians had their pay cut to about $15,000, and a leave police prevents them from finding outside work.

Symphony board president Peter Moye says it has been hurt by the recession and it will not run budget deficits.
