The man who was killed in a drive-by shooting in South Seattle on New Year’s Eve has been identified as Rahman Karriem, 22, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Karriem was walking near Renton Avenue South and South Kenyon Street with a family member around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was shot in the chest by someone in an SUV, Seattle Police Department spokesman Drew Fowler said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are looking for suspects. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 206-233-5000 or 911.
