A 33-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition early Saturday after being injured in a building fire at 1265 Main St. in Seattle, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Crews were dispatched to a three-story, mixed-use building at about 1:17 a.m. On Twitter, the fire department described the blaze as on the second floor and ultimately contained to two floors.

Fire Department officials said at least 14 people were displaced from a men’s shelter, which occupies the building’s first floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
