Authorities took a critically injured woman to Harborview Medical Center after a domestic-violence assault in South Seattle on Sunday evening.

The Seattle Police Department said in a Twitter message that the woman had burns to her body, and that officers were looking for a suspect.

Seattle police detective Mark Jamieson said that the suspect is male, but he couldn’t elaborate on the suspect’s relationship to the victim.

Fire Department spokeswoman Lt. Sue Stangl said the woman was in critical condition.

Fire Department units were sent at 9:15 p.m.  to an apartment complex in the 7400 block of Rainier Avenue South.
