Seattle fire crews are responding to a two-alarm fire on the roof of a Columbia City strip mall in the 4800 block of Rainier Avenue South.

The fire was reported under control around 3:40 p.m., and there are no reports of injuries or people trapped in the building, according to Seattle Fire Department. The department said Rainier Avenue South has been cleared and is open again to drivers but South Edmunds Street is still shut between Rainier and 37th Avenue South.

The fire was on the roof of Bob’s Quality Meats, 4861 Rainier Ave. S., and firefighters also are checking nearby Columbia City Cuts and Gather, a clothing store, for damage.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire, the department said.
