The King County sheriff's department said around 10 p.m. that a crew had rescued the 21-year-old woman, and medics took her to Overlake Hospital Medical Center with a broken leg.
A search-and-rescue crew helped an injured 21-year-old woman down Mailbox Peak near North Bend Wednesday evening, the King County sheriff’s department says.
The department tweeted at 6:10 p.m. a crew was on its way to help the woman, who was near the top with a broken leg. The agency said about four hours later the crew had gotten her down, and that medics took her to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue.
King County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West wrote in an email the woman is from Tacoma, adding she was in “good spirits” while receiving aid.
