A small plane crashed in Thurston County Tuesday, injuring the pilot, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
The single-engine Cessna 170 was heading to Chehalis when it crash-landed in a field along 216th Avenue Southwest near Rochester, the sheriff’s office tweeted. The pilot, 72, was the only one on board.
The pilot is being taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
