TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — One person has been found dead after a fire broke out in a unit of a Tacoma apartment building.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Monday on the second floor of a three-story building in the 6300 blk of N. 26th Street, according to Joe Meinecke with Tacoma Fire. Flames then quickly spread up from there.

About 12 people have been displaced by the fire, Meinecke said.
There is no word yet how the fire started.
