A 58-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle shortly before noon Tuesday.
A 58-year-old pedestrian died Tuesday after she was struck by a car on North Beacon Hill, Seattle police said.
The woman, who was in the area of a crosswalk at South McClellan Street, was struck by a vehicle that was turning southbound on Beacon Avenue South around 11:43 a.m., police said.
The 67-year-old driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers, according to a news release from police. He did not show signs of impairment, police said.
Medics took the woman with life-threatening injuries to Harborview Medical Center, where she later died, according to police. The King County medical examiner will formally identify her.
The incident remains under investigation.
