The public is invited to celebrate the reopening of Seattle Public Library’s remodeled Rainier Beach Branch on Saturday.

Festivities at the branch run from 2-4 p.m. and will include brief speeches by Mayor Ed Murray and city librarian Marcellus Turner, a poetry reading by the African American Writers’ Alliance, performances by the Rainier Beach High School Dance Team and the New Revelation Choir.

Food from local restaurants and businesses will be served.
