Ferry service on the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route has been restored after the route had been down to one vessel Thursday so the Cathlamet could be repaired, according to Washington State Ferries.

Cathlamet is still out of service for engine repairs, WSF said at 11 a.m., but the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route is back to two vessels.

WSF diverted the Sealth to Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth from the Seattle/Bremerton route, where it was supposed to launch this week to relieve the Kaleetan, which is headed to the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route.

As such, the Seattle/Bremerton route is now operating with just one vessel.

There is no estimated time of completion for the Cathlamet’s repairs.

“We apologize for the disruption to service and thank you for your patience while we work to maintain our fleet,” WSF said on its travel bulletin website. “Crews will be working to return the vessel back to service as soon as possible.”
