COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho State Department of Education has rolled out a website featuring its new K-12 Report Card, but district officials say some school information is misleading.
The Coeur d’Alene Press reports the state launched the new website last week that Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra says presents school information “clearly and without bias.”
Mike Nelson, director of curriculum and assessment at the Coeur d’Alene School District, says the website compares “school-level data to district-wide data at multiple grade levels.”
Nelson says the website compares Coeur d’Alene High School’s average for ISAT test scores with the average ISAT scores of all grade levels across the district and state. Only sophomores at the school take the test.
