PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Portland man has been indicted on 43 new counts of child sexual abuse after he was charged in January with 25 counts of encouraging sexual abuse of a child and an animal.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports Stacy Curtiss was charged Wednesday with the new counts.

Court documents say the 33-year-old Curtiss sexually abused a child he babysat between 2014 and 2019. The child was under 12 at the time.

Curtiss has been charged with five counts of first-degree sexual abuse, seven counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, three counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, and 22 counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse.

In January, Curtiss was indicted on 25 counts of producing or distributing child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges and is in custody pending trial.
