TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A new play space at Tacoma’s Cheney Stadium will include a whiffle ball diamond.
The News Tribune reports the playground will be open year-round, not just during the baseball season.
The Tacoma Rainiers announced last week they would be building the 9,670-square-foot park along the first base side of the stadium.
The new park will be located behind a grass berm and will include a playground for children and the whiffle ball field.
