Weather: The next four days: Rain, rain, light rain, light rain. Well, last weekend was sure nice. The temperature could reach 63 today, but temps are expected to drop into the upper 50s for the next several days. That’s about normal for this time of year. Girl hit by police car: A 13-year-old girl was hit by a police car in Kent last night, but police say it was her fault and she wasn’t seriously hurt.

Fight over washer and dryer leads to … stabbing? A 51-year-old Longview woman was busted yesterday for reportedly stabbing another woman in the back in a disagreement over who owned a washer and dryer. Laurie Welch was arrested for investigation of second-degree assault in the stabbing of Linda Mahape. Mahape was treated at a hospital and released. The Daily News in Longview has the story.

A whale’s diet? People are talking about the fact that a golf ball, among other things, was in the stomach of the gray whale found dead off Camano Island the other day. Also in there: shrimp, woody debris, algae, pieces of rope and plastic.

Shooting at Kirkland apartment: A man was shot at a Kirkland apartment last night, and two men were questioned by police. The man’s condition wasn’t immediately available. We expect to have more later today.
