Rescuers found the 22-year-old woman under water Sunday, and she was pronounced dead less than two hours later, investigators said.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 22-year-old woman who died while scuba diving in West Seattle as Patricia Flores-Perez.
Divers from multiple agencies responded on Sunday afternoon after the woman, a diving student, did not resurface after going underwater with a group of other divers.
The woman was found face down with her mask on about 69 feet under water, according to the police report for the rescue. She was pronounced less than two hours later, the report says.
