A man’s body was found inside the burnt remains of a tent after a fire at a homeless encampment above the Interstate 90 tunnel in Seattle Wednesday morning, police said.

Firefighters and police responded to reports of a large fire shortly before 6 a.m., and discovered a tent engulfed in flames in a wooded area on top of the I-90 tunnel near 12th Avenue South, according to the Seattle Police Department. The body was discovered after the fire was doused.

The man has not been identified. It’s unclear if the man was already dead before the fire started or if he died in the fire.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental, the police department said.
