SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A red flag warning indicating that the potential for wildfires is high has been issued for much of eastern Washington.
The warning is in effect for most of Friday because of expected thunderstorms and afternoon gusts. Winds are expected to gust to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Scattered thunderstorms moved through the Spokane region at around 4:30 Friday morning, bringing lightning and some rain.
The storms caused some power outages in the Spokane area.
