Lighting up the gloomy days in Pioneer Square

    Jan. 3, 2021 at 4:38 pm Updated Jan. 3, 2021 at 4:38 pm
As both rain and the sun come down, a 12-foot by 5-foot neon work by local artist Kelsey Fernkopf called “Piet” is seen reflected in a window Friday at Occidental Ave. South and South Jackson Street in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood. The artwork is one of nine installations by different local artists as part of “Lusio Lights Pioneer Square: A Winter Light Experience,” an exhibit that runs through Jan. 15, with a walking tour map available at lusiolight.com.
