The unidentified victim is believed to have been in her late 20s to early 30s, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
A woman’s partially burned body was found Tuesday morning along the side of a road near Lake Tapps, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives believe the unidentified victim was killed elsewhere and then her body was left at 24th Street Court East and 169th Avenue East in the Lakeland Hills area. Detectives say it appears that the killer or killers tried to set fire to the victim’s body.
The victim is believed to have been in her late 20s to early 30s, according to a sheriff’s tweet.
The body was found by someone on a walk about 4 a.m., according to The News Tribune of Tacoma.
The Sheriff’s Department says at least two suspect vehicles were spotted in the area, but they have no descriptions.
