King County prosecutors have accused a woman of shooting a homeless man after a dispute over a $100 debt, according to court documents.
Chrystina Atkeson was charged with first-degree assault in connection with the June 23 shooting.
According to police records, the victim was working at a car-detailing shop in the 3000 block of Rainier Avenue South when he was approached by a woman driving a white Cadillac Escalade.
After an altercation, the woman allegedly shot the victim in the stomach and fled the scene in a vehicle, according to police. Emergency personnel later brought the victim, whose name is being withheld, to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both Atkeson and the victim live near The Jungle, an area frequented by the city’s homeless population, according to court records.

After her July 4 arrest, Atkeson was booked into the King County Jail. Her bail was set at $750,000.
