A video taken from a helicopter of a suspect who is believed to have stabbed a man during a burglary attempt Tuesday night in the Everett area was released by the sheriff’s office.

In the video taken by the King County Sheriff’s Office, the helicopter pilots alert police on the ground that the suspect is trying to hide on a roof. The suspect is persuaded to come down and was taken into custody.

The stabbing was about 7 p.m. in the 12700 block of Admiralty Way, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect fled the victim’s residence before being found on the roof.

The adult male victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with stab wounds. His condition was not immediately known.

A second stabbing happened about an hour later in the 11900 block of Highway 99. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a group of young men or juveniles were fighting on a bus. One of them was taken to Harborview with stab wounds and four suspects were arrested.

“Both incidents are under investigation and are, at this time, believed to be unrelated,” said Shari Ireton, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman.  She said details will be released as they are available.

The King County helicopter was called in to support the Snohomish County manhunt.
