Tony C. Reed, one of two brothers suspected in the presumed deaths of an Arlington couple, has been booked into the Snohomish County jail.

A tweet from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office confirmed Reed’s arrival early Saturday.

Reed’s older brother, 53-year-old John B. Reed, is still at large.

Tony C. Reed, 49, surrendered this week to U.S. Marshals on the U.S.-Mexico border at San Ysidro. He agreed to be returned to Washington.

The brothers have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the presumed slaying of Monique Patenaude, 46, and her husband Patrick Shunn, 45, who were last seen April 11.

The couple disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Their bodies have not been found, but police say evidence including blood and other items tie the brothers to the case.
