A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a SeaTac park Friday evening, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Valley Ridge Park, which is next to Tyee High School, said sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Ryan Abbott.

The man was shot multiple times by at least one person who fled in a car, Abbott said. The man died at the scene.

Detectives were interviewing witnesses at the scene but did not release suspect or vehicle descriptions Friday night.

Multiple soccer games were underway at Valley Ridge when the shooting occurred, and the man who was shot had soccer cleats with him, Abbott said.
