Seattle police are investigating after a man was injured by a crossbow bolt at a Capitol Hill encampment.

Officers said they responded to reports of an assault in the 800 block of Bellevue Place East on Capitol Hill around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday and found a man with a crossbow bolt sticking out of his chest.

Police said the man had been involved in an altercation with another man, who shot the victim with a crossbow and fled.

The man was treated by medics and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
