Police administered the overdose antidote naloxone to revive the woman after the suspect allegedly sprayed opioid fentanyl into her nose about 15 times.
An Everett man is accused of holding down his ex-girlfriend at a Mukilteo hotel, shoving Xanax down her throat and forcing a fentanyl spray up her nose in what police say was attempted murder.
The Daily Herald reports the woman survived and was able to escape and alert others before she passed out Saturday morning.
Bail was set at $500,000 for 28-year-old Zachary Madding Monday. He remains lodged in Snohomish County Jail for investigation of attempted murder.
It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.
