Police in Burlington, Skagit County are seeking the driver of a pickup that dragged an officer attempting to make an arrest.
KIRO reports a Burlington officer was dragged about 30 feet Saturday afternoon.
The officer at around noon contacted a 29-year-old woman with warrants for her arrest. As the officer tried to take the woman into custody, she drove away, dragging the officer behind the pickup.
More officers responded and tried to stop the truck. Police say the pickup accelerated, ran a red light and hit a car with two people inside.
Pursuing officers stopped to give aid to the people in the car and the pickup sped off.
A 78-year-old woman and the 31-year-old officer were transported to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment.
