One person was injured and another taken into custody in a downtown Seattle shooting on Saturday afternoon.
A juvenile was arrested in connection with a shooting in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Seattle Police Department spokesman Mark Jamieson said the victim was shot in the leg and suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the 3:30 p.m.shooting at Second Avenue and Main Street.
Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect and he was taken into custody at First Avenue and Cherry Street where he was seen getting into a car, police said. The suspect was positively identified by witnesses and then booked into the King County juvenile detention center, Jamieson said.
Police did not release any further information about whether there was a relationship between the victim and suspect or any potential motive.
