A man died when a semi and car collided on southbound Interstate 5 in Tukwila Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Several people performed CPR and revived the man at the scene, the state patrol said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
All lanes are open, but southbound I-5 traffic is backed up four miles, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The collision initially blocked the three left lanes, including the ramp to Interstate 405, causing a seven-mile backup.
Delays of transit service routes using southbound I-5 have subsided, King County Metro Transit said.
