As the city braces for 6 to 8 inches of snow, here are some Seattle-area events that have been canceled or rescheduled. This list is not comprehensive; please check event websites and social media to see if your event has been canceled.
- Michelle Obama’s appearance at the Tacoma Dome on Friday, Feb. 8, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 24.
- Theatre Off Jackson’s performance of “140 LBS” on Friday, Feb. 8, has been canceled.
- Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park has canceled its event with John Kim on Friday, Feb. 8. The store plans to reschedule, but does not have a set date.
- Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley has rescheduled the 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 Manhattan Transfer show to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.
- The Darelle Holden Quartet’s appearance at Bake’s Place on Friday, Feb. 8, has been canceled.
- Katie Kuffel’s show Friday night at Ballard Homestead has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 16 at Fremont Abbey Arts Center
- The Friday, Feb. 8 show at Substation featuring Witch Mountain, Witch Ripper, Summoned by Giants, Bakushin, Scorpiknox, Odyssian and Despairer, has been canceled.
- Several events at Seattle Public Libraries on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, have been canceled or rescheduled
- Seattle Children’s Theatre has canceled all performances on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9.
- Seattle Repertory Theatre has canceled the Friday, Feb. 8 evening and Saturday, Feb. 9 matinee performances of “Last of the Boys.”
- ACT Theatre has canceled the Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 performances of “Uncle Vanya.”
- Strawberry Theatre Workshop has canceled its Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 performances of “Everybody.”
- Seattle Public Theater has canceled its Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 performances of “Fire Season.”
- Annex Theatre has canceled its Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 performances of “The Devil and Sarah Blackwater.”
- Seattle Symphony has canceled the Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 performances of “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in Concert.” The Symphony’s Tiny Tots programs on Saturday, Feb. 9, have been rescheduled to Saturday, March 2.
- Cinerama’s showings of “The Lego Movie 2” on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, have been canceled
- Seattle Art Museum closed at noon Friday, Feb. 8, and will be closed Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 9-10. All on-site events at the downtown museum and the Olympic Sculpture Park are also canceled.
- Teatro Zinzanni has canceled its performances for Friday, Feb. 8; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9; and its two shows on Sunday, Feb. 10.
- Roger Guenveur Smith’s performances of “Frederick Douglass Now” at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute on Friday-Sunday, Feb. 8-10, have been postponed to a later date that will be announced.
- All events at the Hugo House on Friday-Sunday, Feb. 8-10 have been canceled.
- Seattle’s Chinatown International District’s Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 9, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 2.
- Pike Place Market’s Love is in the Market on Saturday, Feb. 9, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23.
- Woodland Park Zoo’s Valentine’s Day events on Saturday, Feb. 9, have been canceled.
- Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s concert on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Tacoma Dome has been postponed; a rescheduled date will be announced next week.
- MoPOP’s Sound Off! Semifinals No. 1 on Saturday, February 9, has been canceled, with bands rescheduled to play at one of the other two semifinals either Saturday, Feb. 16 or Saturday, Feb. 23.
- Elliott Bay Book Co.’s reading event with Peg Edera on Saturday, Feb. 9, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 3.
- Tony Furtado’s show at Ballard Homestead on Saturday, Feb. 9 has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 21, at the same location.
- Orchestra Seattle/Seattle Chamber Singers has canceled its Saturday, Feb. 9, “Symphonies of Psalms” concert.
- The Museum of Flight’s Boeing 747 related events on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9-10, have been canceled.
- Justin Timberlake’s concert at Tacoma Dome on Sunday, Feb. 10 has been postponed; a rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
- One Day University’s A Morning of History on Sunday, Feb. 10, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 30.
- University Book Store’s event with author Gaby Dunn on Monday, Feb. 11, has been canceled.
- The Archdiocese of Seattle’s Catholic High School Choir Festival on Monday, Feb. 11, has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 28.
Sporting Events
- UW women’s basketball game against Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 9, has been canceled.
- Seattle’s WAC matchup against Utah Valley on Saturday, Feb. 9, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26.
- UW Husky Home Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, has been reconfigured. Friday’s session has been moved to the morning, concluding at 4 p.m. and Saturday’s session is canceled.
