Helping an uncle out at the West Seattle Farmers Market

Uncle Jason Devela, owner of Rockridge Orchards & Cidery in Enumclaw — seen behind with his other nephew Colton Devela, 8 — purchased the business from a family member in 2016, after serving in the Marine Corps. Jason Devela said the farm, and working in the dirt, helped him transition into civilian life. “My long term goal is to help other veterans,” he said. Aidan has helped his uncle at the farmers market before, but it was Colton’s first time lending a hand. “It’s so much fun,” says Aidan.
