The FBI is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found earlier this month on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, according to FBI spokeswoman Jillian Voigt.
The woman’s body was discovered at the base Sept. 13, Voigt said in an email.
The Pierce County medical examiner identified the victim as Jessica Shaunti Jackson, Voigt said. The medical examiner found that Jackson died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and ruled her death a homicide, the (Tacoma) News Tribune reported.
Voigt declined to provide further information, citing the ongoing investigation.
