Eastbound Interstate 90, which was closed after a collision Friday morning between a semi truck and a car, reopened at 2 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. just past Issaquah. Martin said witnesses reported that the driver of a Toyota Camry lost control of her vehicle, swerved across the freeway lanes and was struck by a semi truck.
The driver of the Camry, an 18-year-old woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, Martin said.
Martin said it’s not clear what caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle. Some witnesses reported that another vehicle swerved into the Camry’s path.
The State Patrol would like any other witnesses to the collision to call 425-401-7717.
During the closure Friday morning, the State Patrol advised drivers to find alternate routes, such as Highlands Drive to Highway 202, and a detour was established at Exit 20 on I-90.
