Spokane Airport reopened almost three hours after a plane slide off an icy taxiway into a snowbank.
Spokane International Airport, which was temporarily closed after a plane slid from a taxiway into a snowbank, reopened shortly before 9 a.m. today, according to an airport spokesman.
Airport officials said a Denver-bound United Airlines 737 plane slid off the icy southern end of the taxiway leading from the gate to the runway.
The airport was closed for almost three hours as officials made sure conditions were adequate for braking, according to airport spokesman Todd Woodard.
No injuries were reported in the 6 a.m. incident, Woodard said.
