Born last week, four clouded leopard cubs are healthy and growing at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma.

“They are eating and gaining weight,” staff biologist Andy Goldfarb said in a news release from the zoo. “All four are active and moving around well.”

The quadruplets were born May 12 to Chai Li and her mate, Nah Fun. Goldfarb and zoo general curator Karen Goodrowe Beck make periodic trips to Thailand as part of a clouded-leopard conservation effort in collaboration with Khao Kheow Open Zoo.

The little leopards aren’t on exhibit yet, but the zoo plans to release details on when the public will be able to see them and possibly help name them.
