A person was shot on southbound Interstate 5 Wednesday morning in Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting near South Rose Street, Trooper Rick Johnson said in a tweet. The shooting around 5 a.m. occurred near Boeing Field.

Authorities are searching for a suspect who was reportedly driving a “dark passenger car,” Johnson said.

About 11:20 a.m., Johnson reported that State Patrol would be shutting down three lanes of southbound I-5 to look for evidence. The closure was expected to last about 30 minutes.
