A man who escaped from a work crew in Seattle Friday is back in custody after being apprehended at a Kirkland residence, according to the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC).
Jeffrey Allen Beach, 29, escaped while working at Washington Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) ferries warehouse in Georgetown around 10:45 a.m., according to a statement from the DOC. The eight employees at the facility were not injured, according to a tweet from WSDOT.
Beach was convicted of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and identity theft in King County and began serving a 43-month sentence in March.
He was found at a private residence in the Kirkland area Monday afternoon and was apprehended without incident, according to the DOC.
