A man was arrested and booked into jail on investigation of murder Thursday morning in connection with the shooting of a man in Pioneer Square last month, police said.
Detectives took a man and woman into custody in North Seattle and interviewed them at Seattle Police Department headquarters, according to a statement from police.
They released the woman, and booked the man into King County Jail.
The shooting occurred in Pioneer Square near Second Avenue South and South Washington Street around 10:25 p.m. July 17, police said. Officers found the wounded man on the ground. They performed first aid, but he died at the scene.
No further information about what led to the shooting was immediately available, and police continued to investigate.
